Dance classes, forró pé de serra. Cultural exchange, forró workshop, shows and concerts.
Mardio Costa is from Bahia, 26 years old, and a forró teacher. He started dancing forró as a hobby at age 16, which soon became an unconditional love. While attending high school, Mardio spent a good part of his time teaching forró to his classmates and at that time his first performance took place. At 18, Mardio already had his own space for forró classes and in 2013 the Escola de Forró CHINELEIROS was officially born. In 2014, Mardio visited Itaúnas -ES , the host city of the biggest forró festivals in the world. There he had contact with the roots style and in the same year he met the Escola de Forró Pé Descalço. In 2016, he participated in a selective for the dance course at FUNCEB, which he attended for a year and a half. In this course he was introduced to different styles of dance. Mardio has also participated and won several forró competitions and taught in several countries and festivals in Europe.
I learned to dance watching videos on YouTube and developed a style bringing influences from Bahia.
His Brazilian musicality and bold interpretations won, in addition to a loyal audience, the praise of critics. As an interpreter, Erick worked with the groups Cesta Básica (PB), Mercedes Band (CE) and Grupo Etc and Tal (AL), already with the groups Sine Qua Non (PB) and Zaraquê Trio (RN) recorded albums where he also acted as composer.
